2016 marked the 150th Anniversary of the enrolments of the first pupils in Tankerstown National School. The locations may have changed and the years have rolled by but the spirit of Tankerstown National School has not faded. In 2016/2017 we marked our sesquicentennial in a number of different ways and even compiled a book on its history.

Tankerstown National is an amalgamation of Ardane NS and Tankerstown NS. This union was formed on the First of October 1973. 2023 was a big year in our calendar as we marked this special milestone.
