In so many ways we can see the legacy of Canon Hayes in our parish. One big connection is the annual Bansha Show- which celebrates all that is agricultural, rural and industrious, in the people of this area and its hinterlands.
We are struck every year by the talent that is displayed, (in particular in the tent), so we decided that each classroom would take on a craft. Mary Ellard, a great friend of our school, a past secretary of the show and indeed, a woman of great talent, came to speak to the children, to give them a chance to showcase their work to her and explain a bit about the competitions themselves.
We had such a wonderful month preparing for this and also for showcasing the great work.
Well done everyone, and well done to the show committee and all that are involved in keeping this great tradition alive.
