It was a great treat last week to leave the school desks behind for a while as a steam engine locomotive passed through Cappa Gates.
Engine No 131 passed through travelling from Limerick to Waterford at about 12.30pm. It had stopped at Tipperary Town Station to fill with water before departing again.
First to Fourth Class walked up to see it whirr by.
