The boy’s final took place in Littleton and was played directly after the girl’s match. The conditions were worse with wind and rain to contend with, but the boys came on the field with fire in their tummies.
The match started. Bill got a point and then Aodh scored a goal. Loughmore got a free and scored a goal from it. Evan got a free and Bill took it. Jack scored two points and Evan scored a goal. There were lots of scores with both teams battling for the cup. Jack, Bill C. and Bill G won frees and scored from them.
This was a mighty match with lots of scores. The supporters were going wild in the stand. Tankerstown N.S. came out on top winning the County Final. There were tears of joy from all the boys as they all celebrated with the cup in the air. There was lots of singing on the bus going home.
