The girl’s final took place in Littleton. The team went on a separate bus to the supporters. The weather was cold, wet and windy. The conditions were poor for the girls playing.
The whistle blew and the match started. Cloneen started with play of the ball and they shot and scored a goal. Cloneen won the kick out and scored a point and then another goal. Lara got tackled and won a free. Mai took it but placed it wide. Méabh moved from goals out onto the field. She was tackled, got hurt but won a free from it. Unfortunately she had to come off due to injury. TNS were playing their hearts out but Cloneen were stronger and won the game. The girls received county medals for coming runners up and were delighted.
