Match Report U13 Football Semi Final

Tankerstown N.S. v Cloneen N.S.

Tuesday 5th November 2024

 

 

The match took place in Cashel. It was a warm, windy day. Ria scored a goal around two minutes into the match. Aodh scored the second goal in the third minute. The TNS supporters went wild.

 

Cloneen scored a goal and then another goal. They were delighted. Amy took a shot and unfortunately the ball went wide but it was a great attempt. Ria scored another goal around fourteen minutes into the first half, with Denis scoring a point directly afterwards. Aodh then scored a goal and a point. The team were on fire!

 

Ria got the ball again and took a shot, but it went wide and James’s shot went wide also. TNS had 60 % possession of the ball. Amy scored a goal and the other team put theirs wide. Séamus saved lots of goals. He was an incredible goalie on the day. Amy scored another goal and Bill scored a point. The other team scored a point.

 

The second half commenced. Aodh took a shot but it got saved by the goalkeeper. Amy scored a point. The other team made a comeback and scored a goal. Aodh was fouled and earned a free and scored a point from it. The other team retaliated and scored a goal.

 

Ria had another chance of scoring a goal but the goalkeeper saved it. James scored a point. This was a very exciting second half with only six minutes gone. Ria was tackled and got a free and Aodh took the free and scored from it. TNS were on a roll. With Denis scoring a goal and Ria winning another free.  Aodh took the free, short passed it to Denis and he scored a point. Cloneen came back and scored a goal. The atmosphere on the sideline was unbelievable. Chloe got the ball, but the score went wide. The other team won a free but didn’t score from it. With an incredibly strong finish Aodh and Callum both scored a goal each. TNS takes the win with nine goals and eight points and are through to a County Final.
