Here we have our Tipperary posters to congratulate our senior hurlers on the all-Ireland final day. Johnny Ryan arrived at the school with the famous Liam McCarthy cup and the Nolan cup. On the all-Ireland day there was such a buzz in the stadium and that was brought into the school. The Tipp senior hurlers were delighted with their win over Cork. When Johnny Ryan walked into the school the sound of Galtee Mountain Boy went through their ears it brought back memories of when they heard that cheer of the stadium erupting when the final whistle blew. Johnny Ryan gave a speech that was special to the pupils in the school as he is a great inspiration to everybody. Hopefully someday one of us will be lifting that cup up in the air of Croke Park!
