Tankerstown NS has a vibrant Parents' Association who are always to the fore offering support and assistance when needed. The Association are always to hand to help parents settle in and advise when their child joins the school.

Relationships with Parents

The school recognises that parents have a primary role and responsibility in the education of their children. Parents are therefore encouraged to:

• be actively involved in the life of the school
• be involved and support the work of the Parent’s Association
• develop and support home-school links in a spirit of trust and cooperation
• ensure that their children respect and co-operate with the school staff in developing the full potential of their children.
